Please text or email homeowner when outage
There s a need for MN Power to text or email when homeowner and/or identified account residence has a power outage. At primary residence in western MN the electric company does this. It is especially needed in my secondary vacation home, in MN Power area, which needs heat in it in the winter, although no one is living there during the winter months--so that furnace fan does not go off for any length of time in winter, causing water pipes to freeze or have the freezer go out in summer etc.. I can't find anywhere on the outage app or on MN Power website regarding a feature like this to sign up for. Is there not one??
